First completed artwork from my new series ‘Bahia'. This stunning fabric collage, with hand embroidered lace details - is influenced by the beautiful style of Baiana de Acarajé clothing, worn in Salvador Bahia, Brazil. For this series I explored the similarities between Afro-Brazilian and West African culture and the result - bold colours, eye-catching patterns and joyous shaped costumes.
